Unstable Nuclear Reactor is an incremental hex-puzzle roguelite where you merge atomic elements to prevent a nuclear meltdown.

Merge atoms into higher elements through standard merges or massive chain combos. Earn radioactive coins to unlock powerful upgrades, expand your reactor with new rings, and carefully manage your limited capacity to keep the reactor working.

🚀 New Feature: The Hold Inventory (5 Slots Max!)
We heard your feedback regarding early-game gridlock and late-game RNG stress loud and clear! To give you way more strategic control over your reactor, we’ve introduced the Hold Slots system.

• Bank Your Elements & Tools: You can now store up to 5 atoms or specialized tools in your inventory at the top of the screen instead of being forced to play them immediately.
• Deploy or Discard: Tactically swap a held item back onto the board when the perfect combo opens up, or clear out unwanted clutter using the new Discard action for a small fee.
• Turn Luck into Strategy: Use this new inventory to save high-mass atoms for massive late-game fusions or hoard crucial tools for emergency board clears.

Visual Guide & UX Polish: When you hover over an atom, all identical atoms on the ring will shake so you can locate matching pairs instantly. To fix the issue where these shaking animations became hard to spot when zoomed out, we’ve added a vibrant yellow glowing hex background behind each matching atom. Finding your next merge is now effortless at any zoom level!
